ATLANTA – Feb. 21, 2017 – Prominent entrepreneur John Hope Bryant, and Henry Ford III, marketing manager at Ford Performance, announced today the creation of the Bryant Group Motorsports Academy (BGMA), powered by Ford Performance. The nonprofit was unveiled during the Caffeine & Octane series that premiered Feb. 19 on the Discovery network’s Velocity channel. Caffeine & Octane is North America’s largest monthly car show.
"Bryant Group Motorsports Academy will open the doors of inclusion to motorsports by connecting with youth from urban, inner-city, and rural communities, who would otherwise not have access to the world of motorsports,” Bryant said. “This initiative will bring significant opportunities and new options to so many young people across the country."
Youth participants will receive exposure to career opportunities within the automotive and motorsports industry. BGMA will also serve to connect these industries with the untapped potential and talent in markets that would otherwise go unnoticed.
"We are thrilled to support young people with access to education, training and resources," Ford said. "Bryant Group Motorsports Academy represents an exciting new focus on exposing modern motorsports to underserved communities and underserved markets alike."
